The Trust Administration Process
If your family member or other loved one set up a trust before their passing, you may need assistance in administering their trust. A trust can be used just like a last will and testament to specify who receives your property after your death. However, unlike a will, a trust names a successor trustee to take administration of the trust, and the trust is not subject to the probate process. The court is only involved if there is an issue or disagreement with how the trust is being administered.
